The 2015 UCI approved Helios A9.0X is the top of the range in Polygon's road race lineup and takes the already amazing components on the A9.0 and supercharges them.
The frame uses a combination of T700, T800 & T1000 Toray with Hi-Modulus M-Series. It utilises semi-monocoque technology to create each individual top/headtube, which are then bonded with the down/seat tube to create a single front triangle. It takes advantages of both tube-to-tube and also monocoque constructions by being both stronger & lighter - resulting in a frame weight below 900grams. Additionally the anti-wrinkle joint technology creates a smooth surface on the inside of the joint, reducing excess material to achieve the light frame weight.
A high-performance frame like the A9.0X deserves top-shelf components, so Polygon has spec'd the A9.0X with the new 9070 Dura-Ace 11-speed Di2 group. Di2 electronic shifting makes gear changes smooth, precise and effortless. The system features an automatic trimming front derailleur that eliminates chain rub and adjustable-reach levers that can be dialed in to fit any rider's hands perfectly. Wiring is routed through the frame for a clean, uncluttered look and good aerodynamics. The Di2 system is powered by a lithium battery that has a guaranteed range of 2,000 kms. It lets you know when you're running low on juice and it recharges fully in just 90 minutes. Compared to previous models, The 11-speed Dura-Ace groupset delivers improved ergonomics for better rider comfort and control.
Rounding out the A9.0X's theme of lightweight racing performance, it's equipped with Ritchey Carbon Superlogic finishing kit and the top of the Shimano Dura Ace C50 carbon clincher wheelset.
